Update Australia 07-25-22
We’re starting to see some activity happening in South Australia. We’ll talk about that today and then what we’re seeing across the rest of the country and where we’re headed in the next few months. So lots of information for you today. Good morning, Australian chiropractors and allied health professionals. My name is Bharon Hoag. I am the Executive Director of The Chiropractic Defense Council coming to you today, July 25th, 2022 for your weekly update. I hope that you had a good week this past week. I know you guys are all headed to the end of the year. And it’s just kind of interesting.
All of a sudden, in South Australia, we’re starting to see many random phone calls that are happening from certified health officers. And I know a lot of you are wondering if this is for real or if this is something that we need to take seriously.And the answer is yes. And you need to reach out to us and we’ll get you connected with our legal team to make sure that we’re moving forward.
So far, these are just phone calls asking if you’re in compliance and they’ve been asking, when staff answer the phone if they’re vaccinated. So far the teams are doing a great job that has reached out, but the team does not need to communicate with these individuals, so they need to just get the number and then you can call the individual back, but we’ll get you connected with one of our legal team to do so. I want you to reach out to us. We’re not sure what’s going on with that or where that’s happening. We know OPRA’s doing a few little things as well. It’s interesting why all of a sudden we’re seeing some increased activity when we’re seeing other states that have just backed off completely. I don’t want anyone to freak out. Don’t feel like this is the end of the world.
We’ve gone through this before. We always have these little spikes at various times. That’s why we’re here. That’s why we don’t go anywhere. And it’s why more people need to be connected with us so that we can give them this sense of protection. And that no one’s freaking out unnecessarily. So in South Australia, that’s the only place we’re hearing it right now. We’re still not seeing anything happening in Victoria.
We’re not seeing anything happening in Western Australia. We want to keep you updated as we get this information. But right now it just seems to be some phone calls coming from those that are calling themselves certified health officers. So be aware of that. If you receive a call to your office, please make sure you reach out to us, we’ll get you connected with the right people and ensure that you get the support that you need.
As we’re continuing to move forward, we’re listening to some rhetoric we’re watching closely on what we think may or may not be happening. But we’re not seeing any foretelling at this point about what’s coming. So we’re just going to continue to move forward. We’re also continuing to do our fundraising for our legal case. Our goal is, by the end of this month, to have a good base income. We should have raised enough money to be able to get moving on that case. I’m hoping we’ve got a couple of people that have stated that they’re going to give. We just need the money to come in. If you have access to that, if you know of people, if you can help us expand our contributor base, all of those things help us. In this effort to go after this lawsuit, we’re still very committed to it. We’re very confident in our claim. We just need to make sure we have the resources to be able to follow it through. So we’re doing our part on this end. I appreciate any help you guys can give us on your end. And in the meantime, we’re still helping individuals. In South Australia, we have our team moving on those types of cases as well. So still moving forward in the right direction, the world as a whole.
We saw an amazing new study that just came out of Italy. Basically, they passed a law that they cannot mandate. The vaccine, when now the evidence is showing that the unvaccinated are equivalent, if not in a better position than those that have been jabbed three or more times.
And so it’s the first government that we’ve seen that has listed that type of data. So again, whenever we see this happen, it starts to steamroll other countries to feel the freedom to be able to do it. So, which is funny that it’s coming out of Italy when they were the first country to do all the mandatory mandates and had the most vaccinated people in their country.
So very interesting times right now. And we believe all of this is just going to continue to help us and our case as we bring that forward. So that’s where we’re at this week. I am planning some time to be there next March.
Hopefully, the world doesn’t blow up again in that process and I’ll be able to get out there with you guys.
