Well, we knew the time was coming, it was just a matter of when and that day is now. We have amazing news to share with you about what’s going on in New Zealand. We’ve finally broken through that iron curtain of your government, proving that what they’re doing is no longer justified and actually against your bill of rights. So please pay attention to what’s going on in today’s video, as it’s gonna set the precedent for where we’re headed for things here soon in New Zealand. So good morning, my New Zealand chiropractors and allied health professionals. I have a great update for you today. My name is Bharon Hoag. I am the executive director of OneChiropractic and The Chiropractic Defense Council coming to you today on February 28th, 2022 for your weekly update. So the biggest news that we’ve had pretty much in the last two years for New Zealand was a, a high court case dealing with police and the defense force basically stating that the mandates were an incursion on their bill of rights, essentially, meaning they’re illegal.
Now they’re automatically rehiring everyone that had been terminated because they refused to get vaccinated. This is gigantic. Our legal team is starting to pull apart that case to figure out what they used, how they’ve got it done. The implications are gonna be very, very far reaching with this case on top of everything that’s happening in the rest of the world. We fully expect these mandates to start are being repealed fairly soon. Now that this has been set in the high court absolutely gigantic it it’s showing that the truth is prevailing in New Zealand, and I’m so thankful for those people that have been standing up to this point. The other good news is I finally have the risk assessment from Chris. My design team is working on that. We just got it. So I should have it to you midweek this week.
I will make that available to you. So you can add that to your work safe plan so that you have that extra layer of protection. I apologize for how long that’s taken. But we finally have that in hand and we’re working on layouts and all of that information currently. So a big week for us in New Zealand once our legal team comes back to us on their summary of this particular judgment, we’ll let you know what our next steps are, but we’ll be rallying with other specialties, other individuals to be doing similar types of things, to be able to get them to repeal the mandate for health workers as well. So just know that this is huge. This is what we’ve been waiting for. And we’re gonna ride the coattails of this particular initiative all day long. So I, I just, I wanna thank you so much to a lot of you. There are so many of you that have been practicing that even though you’re doing it against the, the mandate and, and, you know, trusting that we would be there to back you up, we’ve been able to do that for a few individuals that have been signified. I know a lot of you have been getting emails from the, the ministry of health and, and, you know, we’ve been doing our best to give you guidance and advice, but I’m, I’m just so thankful
For our resolve. And I know there are a lot of you watching this that maybe you’ve closed and, and hopefully this gives you some comfort to start getting back and making plans to open your clinics again, to get back out there and serve our population. You know, it’s just been an incredible journey. We’re not done this battle isn’t over. And as a matter of fact, even when these mandates are gone, this is time for us to continue to start pushing forward. What this did was, was really reveal some of the, the vulnerabilities that we have, that you have as citizens in New Zealand. And we need to keep pushing forward as a defense council to make sure that your rights are protected and, and utilize. We believe there’s a day coming as we get more market share that we need to make sure that we have that defense in place to protect from the next wave.
So please know that this isn’t the end of what we’re doing, but I’m super excited to be able to give you some semblance of hope to move forward. So hopefully this update brings you some joy this week. We can start celebrating that we’re on the better side of this particular issue.
